Along with iphone 8 built-in qi module, wireless charging technology has gradually knowned by the public, now introduce the organizations of wireless power.
Wireless Power Consortium
The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) is a multinational technology consortium formed in December 17, 2008 and based in Piscataway, New Jersey. Its mission is to create and promote wide market adoption of its interface standard Qi, used for wireless charging across a number of products. The consortium announced through a press release that Qi would soon be developed for tablets, computers and automobile in January 2012. Qi's specifications were again updated in April, with the distance upped to 40mm.

It is an open membership of Asian, European, and American companies, working toward the global standardization of wireless charging technology. In May 2014, the WPC announced that over 500 phones had Qi built-in. As of 2017, the company has over 250 individual companies, of which 25 are members of its board of management, also known as the "Steering Group".
In the current commercial wireless charging field, the WPC Alliance's qi standard has an absolute advantage. Up to now, more than 628 companies have joined the global membership, including Apple, Samsung, LG, Haier and other internationally renowned companies.
To use the qi logo on wireless charging products, you first need to get the authorization of WPC. The Qi certificate is a certificate issued by the WPC certification laboratory after the certification test passed. After the enterprise obtains the certificate, the company can use the qi mark on the product, and can provide the product ID number for the consumer to check whether it is genuine.

Alliance for Wireless Power
The Alliance for Wireless Power(A4WP) was formed in early 2012 with the intent to create a wireless power transfer standard to compete with the existing Qi standard. Board member companies include Broadcom, Gill Electronics, Integrated Device Technology , Intel, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and WiTricity.
Rezence is an interface standard developed by the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) for wireless electrical power transfer based on the principles of magnetic resonance. The interface standard supports power transfer up to 50 watts,at distances up to 5 centimeters.

Due to the late formation of the alliance, the products currently adopting this standard are rare.
Power Matters Alliance
Power Matters Alliance(PMA) is founded by Procter & Gamble and Powermat Technologies in March 2012. The PMA board of directors included representatives from AT&T, Duracell, Starbucks, Powermat Technologies, Flextronics, Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Energy Star.
PMA adopts the A4WP Rezence specification as the PMA magnetic resonance charging specification for both transmitters and receivers in both single and multi-mode configurations。
The organization was merged with Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) in 2015 to form AirFuel Allliance.
In summary, there are 3 organizations in wireless power field before 2015, Wireless Power Consortium (WPC)/Alliance for Wireless Power(A4WP)/Power Matters Alliance(PMA); there are 2 organizations, Wireless Power Consortium (WPC)/AirFuel Allliance.
